Holly P. Martin, Ph. D
Licensed Practicing Psychologist
Dr. Holly Martin has provided psychological services to a diverse client population for ten years. She obtained her doctorate degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and completed a clinical internship at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Washington DC with rotations on the substance abuse, outpatient psychiatry, and neuropsychology units. Dr Martin has worked with disabled veterans and eligible family members at the Vocational Rehabilitation Division of the
Veterans Affairs Regional Office in Washington DC, with undergraduate, graduate students and staff in two university counseling centers, with persons and families recovering from substance
addictions in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as a substance addiction program consultant to the Lorton prison system, as a forensic psychologist with St Elizabeths Hospital in Washington DC and at the Cedar Knoll/Oak Hill Youth Detention Facilities in Laurel Md, and as a consulting
psychologist in private practice providing psychological evaluations for school systems and various community agencies. Dr Martin’s areas of clinical interest include gender issues, substance addiction, depression, family systems, and early childhood development and attachment. |
